September 13 - Parts of Speech Review & Quiz
Review Assignment #1
Identify the part of speech of each italicized word directly after the number in each of the following paragraphs. Type each answer onto your iPad.
[1] Yesterday after [2] school, one of my friends [3] tried to teach [4] me some new dance steps. I was [5] so embarrassed I [6] could have hidden in the [7] supply closet. [8] Both of my feet seem to have [9] minds of [10] their own and do [11] not do what [12] I want them to.
"You're [13] too tense when you [14] dance, or you're trying too hard. [15] You [16] should relax more," my [17] friend told me.
" [18] How can I relax?" I groaned. "No one [19] can relax when his body goes left and his feet go right!" At that point, I [20] decided to give up dancing, but I know I'll try [21] again another day.
Review Assignment #2
