Writing Assignment - Using Awesome Adjectives
It was night when it appeared to them.
This is a very vague, confusing sentence. Your job is to change the underlined pronouns in this sentence to more specific nouns. For example:
It was night when the cougar appeared to Holly and Joe.
In this example, I replaced the pronoun it with the word cougar and replaced the pronoun them with the specific names of two different people (Holly and Joe). After you have replaced the pronouns in your first sentence with more specific antecedents, your job is to continue writing your very own story using as many adjectives as possible. But first we must change our first sentence to include some adjectives! Here is one final example:
It was a foggy Friday night when the mysterious cougar appeared to the young siblings Holly and Joe.
You can now see that I have included an adjective for each of the nouns in my previous sentence. To receive full credit for your Awesome Adjective story, make sure you follow all of the directions below:
- Your story must be three paragraphs long with five sentences in each paragraph.
- Each sentence must contain at least one adjective.
- You must circle all of the adjectives that you have used in your story!
